1.The Introduction of Anode Yoke Bracket
The Anode Yoke Bracket can be welded by a steel plate in which steel scrap is melt-cast. For welded steel claws, Q235 or Q235B steel is generally used. For cast steel claws, low carbon steel (C max 0.25%) is widely used, because of its good electrical conductivity.
  The Anode Yoke Bracket is also called the electrolysis claw,anode steel claws etc, and the upper part is connected with the Electrical Steel-Alu Transition Joints and the Anode Rod (Stem). Commonly used are parallel three-claw, four-claw, three-dimensional four-claw, six-claw, eight-claw, double-anode steel claw etc types,or can be produced according to customer’s drawing.
In the pre-baked aluminum electrolysis production process, the anode steel claw is an electric conductor, and a strong electric current is passed through, and at the same time, it has the function of supporting and connecting the Anode Rod (Stem), and is in a corrosive atmosphere environment. Therefore, the anode steel claws should have the following good performance to meet the requirements for electrolytic aluminum production: (1) low resistivity and good electrical conductivity. (2) It has certain corrosion resistance and prolongs service life. (3) It has certain strength and dimensional stability, and has small deformation during electrolysis.
 
2.The process characteristics of Anode Yoke Bracket

Our foundry has an advanced steel casting line, including chemical and mechanical analysis laboratories. Through the use of advanced casting processes and equipment, after casting by EPC technology, the steel claws will be cleaned, machined, heat treated and sandblasted. The anode cast steel claws produced are qualified, the surface is smooth, the internal structure is tight, and the defects are avoided. 3.The Technical Specifications of Anode Yoke Bracket:
The cast Anode yoke is made from cast steel alloy, normalized and in accord with BS3100 Grade A1. The maximum value for equivalent carbon (CEV), based on the mill test, shall be 0.35 CEV and shall be calculated using the following formula:
CEV = C + Mn / 6 + (Cr+Mo+V) /5 + (Ni+Cu) /15
 
MACHINED SURFACE FINISH
The cast surface of the yoke to be in contact with the transition joint shall be machined (as per Anode yoke drawing). The casting shall be stress free prior to machining. The Manufacturer shall ensure the geometry with respect to the stubs (straightness and perpendicular) meet the requirements detailed on the drawings.
The remaining surfaces shall be left in a smooth “As-Cast” condition typically
Ra 12.5 to Ra 25.Grooves on stubs shall be cut or ground, as per Anode yoke drawing
